1.0.0

RayCrest MDS v1.0 focuses on end-to-end construct work on macOS, from sequence import through validation, cloning setup, protein context, and figure export.

New

  • Import and edit DNA sequences from GenBank, FASTA, and SnapGene .dna in one local workflow.
  • Review constructs in Sequence view, then move directly into circular map export for figures and handoff files.
  • Validate constructs with Sanger traces or FASTQ-supported sequencing review in the same workspace.
  • Run multiple sequence alignment, then export alignments or trees without leaving the app.
  • Design primers, review plasmid history, and use built-in lab calculators alongside active construct work.

Known issues

  • Native Geneious files still need to be re-exported as GenBank or FASTA before import.
  • Protein sequence input is not part of the normal DNA import flow.
  • SnapGene .dna export is not available in v1.0.
